Eye for An Eye in Porto, Portugal - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

While exploring Porto, Portugal, I noticed there were eyes everywhere and I had being watched for who-knows-however-long. You know me, I’m no sitting duck type of person. I thought I’d give them eyes back. Being a visual creator, my best weapon would be just that - my eyes (not necessarily my vision though counting my glasses 🤓 ).

Anyways, I had to not be caught. It helps when people are looking up:

Or, when their hands are heavy with the flowers for the lovely lady at home:

As time went by, it got really easy. I started thinking that I can do this professionally. 😁

By the time I arrived at the Sao Bento train station, I’ve lost myself and wouldn’t blame this gentleman for being too excited. In a place that’s covered with such beautiful
azulejo, I got a little hot-headed and couldn’t quite hold myself or my lips together.

You Are Being Watched in Porto, Portugal - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

When I travel, I skip the obvious. It’s given that Porto is well-known for its vinho do Porto. But like people, I believe a city (any city) has many layers that are waiting for the inquisitive to explore and find out.

On a leisure stroll towards Ponte de Dom Luis I, I realize there are eyes everywhere.

It makes my walk-around so much more fun. I mean, these people don’t even know they are being under the watchful eyes.

I felt obligated to tell them to be more cognizant. They need to follow how I am always scanning my surroundings…. until my eyes met another pair, watching ME through a “peek hole”.

Now, what do I do?

A Movie Poster Made on the Street of Mexico City - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

"A scene is a scene.  But a scene with people comes alive", says yours truly. :-)

Did I tell you that a short walk from our hotel to the historical downtown in Mexico City and back was stretched into a whole (fun) day?  Yes, that's one of my strengths, in my own opinion. :-)  Think about it, for a kid that loves candies, wouldn't it be the best thing in the world if the candy lasts the whole day?

When visiting a place on foot, in addition to the monumental locations (sometimes skipped for subjective reasons), we check out the nooks and cracks with much joy.  And this is what we were greeted with, at the end of the day, on our way back to the hotel - four gentlemen sitting on the same bench, each doing their own thing.  What a fun "scenery"!  I exclaimed, in my heart, and secretly raised the camera to my face. :-)

Now, if you allow yourself to step back a little, it looks like a movie poster, doesn't it?  What would be the name of the movie, if that's the case?  You can totally make it up.  Why not have some fun!

P.S. If you are curious, please follow the links for my other Mexico City Photography.  What's life without curiosity anyway? :p
