Paying tribute to all those affected by the devastating disasters - Los Angeles Photography

I have to admit that this is unusual for me - to post twice within a day.  Shortly after I posted with an image taken from Vietnam, the horrible news broke of the earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.  This image of cherry blossom was taken over the weekend.  I thought it's a nice tribute to all those devastated by this and all other disasters.

This disaster, as many others, reminds us how unpredictable life is and to treasure what we already have - people around us and things that we take for granted, like being able to go home every day after work.

A real beauty brought back from Vietnam - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

I realized that it's been months since our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia and I've been guilty of not sharing enough beautiful images from it.  This one stuck in my mind even during the trip. It was the day that we arrived in Hanoi.  The weather was perfect and we took an easy afternoon stroll along the lake near our hotel.  It turned out to be a popular day (or season) for bridal portraits.  We must have run into at least 5 couples within an hour.  This bride-to-be in her traditional costume, with the soft rays on her shoulder, was simply too beautiful to pass up for me.

So here's my take on her bridal portraiture:

Welcome to this world, Valen - Los Angeles Newborn Photorapher

God knows how behind I am in posting my photo sessions.  However, Valen's mommy could not wait for me to finish processing all the images.  So I am putting out some sneak peeks of the session while I finish with the rest.

Valen, a cute little guy entered this world, a little early.  He was supposed to be the little valentine for his parents, on the oh-so famous "love day" (hence the name).  Well, I can see why - he couldn't hold off all the excitement that he will bring.  Me, for sure, was one excited photographer and could not help but falling in love with this small bundle.

Now you see, at a tenderly young age of two and a half weeks, Valen shows you the many facets that a (newborn) baby could have:

P.S. You'd notice that I was playing with different tonal effects.  And no matter what I chose, Valen continues to be such a good-looking little guy. :-)
