Find Yourself in a Transformation this Valentine Day - Los Angeles Transformational Beauty Photographer

To me, beauty is meaningless if it's got no soul.  In our Transformational Beauty Photography sessions, "prettying up" our clients is not the only thing that we do - It's actually the easiest part.  What takes the most time and energy is to go through a "soul-searching" process (in my words, "internal earthquakes" for some) - not me, my clients. :-)When I saw this look on her, I was doing samba in my belly. :-)  However, decades ago, to look this way in certain parts of the world as a lady would be frowned upon, to say the least.  As a spiritually and mentally free person, I could only imagine the pain to hold the self within, in the traditional and "normal" clothing and hair.  So today, when she's finally expressing herself in the look that she's always wanted to be seen in, I sang for her, with my camera and lights, of course!  She sings much better than I do. :-)

Why You Need to Hire a (Truly) Creative Photographer - Los Angeles Portrait Photographer

I believe we artists all create in our own unique (and sometimes quirky) ways.  And everyone goes through his/her process of growth and evolution.  In my quest for visual expressions and (of course) client satisfaction, I've moved beyond simply presenting an object or subject literally.Case in point:

Recently, I had a short visit to Mexico City.  Oh, how I love thy.  The city is full of culture, history, liveliness and art (more about that in my travel blog, one day :-)).  You all know I love colors and textures, especially the ones that have been passed down from the ancient times.  So, yes, I was in heaven when visiting Palacio Nacional (i.e., the National Palace).

My problem is, no matter where I am, I don't ever stop observing, looking for inspirations and/or creating.  So, instead of being settled with documenting one location like this:

I had an idea and did something like this instead:

It took a little more time.  But hey, what's the rush.  The point is to never stop having fun, right?  So, there you have it, my version of the below statue, which represents my ultimate goal in state of mind/life.

Do you see what a difference creativity can make?

Let's Celebrate (being a Woman), Shall We? - Los Angeles Transformational Beauty Photographer

We've met this beauty that went through transformation before.  Now that we are in the middle of the holiday season, the word "celebrate" tends to give certain meaning (limited, in my opinion).  As I'm a believer of "Life Won't Wait", I take the attitude of celebrating every day.We women tend to be (extremely) critical of each other, and of ourselves.  I've been there.  To be honest, I'm not even sure that I've pulled myself out of that "mental trap" completely.  Though, here's what I know - I know we are all so very different from each other and that difference gives us uniqueness that's so beautiful that no one can copy (and no one should either - why be a duplicate when you can be unique?).

So here's what I say, to all my women sisters - let's celebrate being a woman, WITH AN ATTITUDE!

How do you like this image?  We should meet if you LOVE it too. :-)  You know how to find me.
