I get it.  In a place where nature and human activities work in such harmony, it's hard to contain oneself.

Really, I get it.  You've come a long way...  It's one of your dreams...  In front your eyes is something that you've never experienced in real life.  You get in close.  Really close.  Never mind the plants that have been run down by the weight of cars or feet.  You are determined.  You won't be the first or the last one to give what is in your way a nudge or a stump.

We Walked into a Movie Set in Bevagna, Italy - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

When we stepped into this small town in the Umbria region of Italy that afternoon, we felt we walked into a movie set.  Every one seemed to be playing a role that belongs to the medieval era.

The golden light basking on the "set" does nothing in persuading me otherwise.  As we drew closer to the drama that unfolds in front of them, we became part of it.  In Bevagna, they don't show you what life in Medieval time was like, they live it.

Seeing Porto, Portugal through Porto - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

Porto in Portugal is a port that exports, among other things, its world famous wine named after the city, i.e., Porto. 

Ha, you know I don't usually talk this way.  But I did it. :-)

This one afternoon when we got onto Ponte de Dom Luis I, it's as if everything has gotten a tint of Porto, the wine, with a taint of its dreamy sweetness to it.

Oh, by the way, this just reminds me that one friend once said my other image makes her feel as if she's seeing through the bottom of a wine bottle.

Bottle or wine, it's the magic of the wine countries.
