I See Landscape in a Human Body - Los Angeles Fine Art Photographer

For those that's known me for a while, I'm not someone that likes to affix labels to people or things.  In my mind, it's a lazy way to understanding people (or things) by categorization.  This world has been around long before we had language.  So, suffice it to say, our vocabulary may be limited in deciphering what's going on in reality. Take this image for example.  I did not have words in my mind before making it.  On the contrary, I did what made sense to me visually.  So, I don't care what you call it.  It's landscape out of human body.  It's a fine piece of art, isn't it?

OK, OK, we'll have peace if you call it body-scape. :-)  There's another piece of my work with a similar concept if you follow the link.

Do you want a tasteful representation of your body?  I can be reached here.

Go with the Flow in Longji, China - Los Angeles Fine Art Photographer

I went to Longji, Guangxi to see and photograph its terrace rice field.  What I didn't expect was to get philosophical.  But when your eyes are moving in every direction following the flow of the lines, I know the feeling.  But all I can say is "Don't fight it.  Go with the flow!" :-)Do you have an experience of being hit with "ah-ha moment" for life when you least expect it?  Share with us so we can learn from one another.

P.S. You know the drill - if you are interested in seeing more fine art photography that can decorate your home/office, here are more examples.  Or contact me for ideas.

Would All Fishermen Have the Wisdom of the Mexican Fisherman? - Los Angeles Fine Art Photographer

Have you heard of the story of the Mexican fisherman?  In this story, an executive from America had a much grander plan for the fisherman.  The problem is that according to the plan, the fisherman would find himself where he already was, after 15-20 years of "mad rat race" (my own opinion :-)).  If you haven't, you can read it here.

On my recent trip to Xingping (兴坪), China, a small fishing village near Yangshuo (阳朔), I met one fisherman.  As tourism is quickly changing the world, such little gem tucked in a corner can not escape.  Would people there have the wisdom to see what the Mexican fisherman saw?

It took me 16 years in "the America" to finally quit the rat race.  Places as depicted in this image are still beautiful to me.  Do people there see what I see?  I mean, what kind of life would you choose - mad (rat race) vs. peaceful?
