Morocco, Part 1 of Many - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

The imagined exoticism of Morocco brought us there.  What we learned in three weeks though only adds to the complexity that this country falls nothing short of in people, culture and history.

For the sake of being fair and of providing balanced perspective on this country, I will let my images do the speaking.  This is one time where I struggle to put thoughts into words and resort to what I do better anyway.  This time, it's not a matter of preference, it's necessity.

Thanks for the Luck, Red-Capped Cardinal! - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

Earlier this year, I submitted, for the first time, to a photography contest dedicated to the revered 19th century photographer Julia Margaret Cameron.  When I came back from a trip, I was more than delighted (and honored) to see my name in more than one category of the winners' list.

The image below is one of them.  If you remember, I've
posted it before.  Clicking on the image will bring you to it.

To have a chance out of 4,580 images from 57 countries, I consider myself lucky.  As mom of nature and wildlife photographer Jason Tiesman tells him, "When you see a cardinal, good things are to come".  I do remember seeing such a birdie in la Amazonia last year.  I guess I owe her a debt of gratitude.  Muchas gracias, red-capped cardinal!

Where Could You Rock to Sleep in the World? - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

What are the chances of you being rocked to sleep in your adulthood?  Not very high, right?  Well, I had an opportunity to do that in "the floating city" and thought I'd share how that "feels" visually.

What word would you use to describe this experience?  To me, it feels just like a blur, at least right before falling into sleep. :-)
